1. Beast Academy & AoPS Coaching

This is not traditional tutoring.

I guide students to:

  • Think through problems independently

  • Understand concepts deeply (not just follow steps)

  • Develop strong reasoning and communication skills

How sessions work:

  • Students attempt problems first

  • I guide using questions and targeted hints

  • We discuss multiple approaches and strategies

  • Focus is on how to think, not just what to do

2. Competition Math Preparation

I prepare students for:

  • MOEMS

  • APSMO (Australia)

  • AMC 8 / AMC (Australia)

  • Math Kangaroo

  • UK Maths Challenges (Primary, Junior, Intermediate)

  • MathCounts

Focus areas:

  • Non-routine problem solving

  • Pattern recognition

  • Strategy building

  • Time management (when needed)

3. Enrichment & Challenge Work

For students who need more:

  • Curated puzzles and advanced problems

  • Structured progression (easy → challenging)

  • Exposure to Olympiad-style thinking

My Approach
  • I don’t give answers—I guide students to discover them

  • I prioritise thinking and accuracy over speed

  • I encourage productive struggle

  • I step in before frustration becomes discouragement

To build confident, independent learners who can tackle unfamiliar problems.

Student Success Stories
From Low Motivation to National-Level Achievement

Zayed began with me at Beast Academy Level 3. While he was a bright student, staying motivated to practice math was a challenge.

Through a structured, thinking-focused approach, we worked on building both his confidence and engagement. Over time, this shift was noticeable not just at home, but also in school.

As his parent shared:
“My son is bright, but getting him motivated to practice Maths was difficult, like many children. Since starting with Ms Vasudha, there has been a significant improvement in his motivation as well as performance, which his school teachers have noted.”

Zayed has since gone on to perform strongly in multiple math competitions and qualified for the Cayley Olympiad after clearing the Intermediate Maths Challenge—placing him among a very small group selected from hundreds of thousands of students.

From Rushing Through Problems to Structured Thinking

Kaavya started with me at Beast Academy Level 2. She was capable, but struggled with focus and consistency. She would often rush through problems, avoid showing her work, and provide multiple quick answers without fully considering them.

We worked on slowing down her process, building clarity in her reasoning, and developing the habit of structured problem-solving.

Today, she has progressed to AoPS Pre-Algebra and demonstrates a much stronger, more disciplined approach to math.

Her results reflect this transformation:

  • Consistent distinctions in AMC (Australia) being in the top 10%

  • Accepted into Rossmoyne Senior High School’s specialist mathematics program—one of the top programs in Western Australia, with only 7 students selected from over 500 applicants

These stories reflect what I focus on most: not just improving performance, but fundamentally changing how students think, approach problems, and engage with math.

Long-Term Growth, Acceleration, and Exceptional Results

Poshya began working with me in Grade 3, starting with Beast Academy Level 3.

Over the 2.5 years, she has shown remarkable growth, progressing through:

  • Beast Academy Levels 3, 4, and 5

  • AoPS Prealgebra

  • AoPS Algebra A

  • Currently working on AoPS Geometry

What stands out is not just her acceleration, but her ability to apply her learning in competitive settings.

  • Participated in middle school competitions as early as Grade 4 and scored the highest.
